Wedding Flower Choices – March
This week, we're letting you know about choosing the perfect Wedding Flower combination in March.
March is said to “come in like a lion”, well it has for many of us with all the weird and wacky weather. I love March! The flowers start blooming, trees start budding and that means colorful flowers and budding branches are back in season.
When planning for your wedding floral, take in consideration this list of what your local flower suppliers should have in stock for March.
Flowers
Andromeda/Japonica
Anemone
Daffodil
Foxglove
Freesia
Heather
Hyacinth
Hellebores
Lilac
Muscari
Ranunculus
Tulips
Of course, you have your traditional flower choices that are mostly available all year.
Most of these flowers listed come in a variety of colors from pastels to bright vivid colors, so bring some color into your wedding floral. Feel free to play with different color palettes, I personally love to see fuchsias and purples mixed with bright yellows and oranges for bouquets in spring, it brings in a little “sunshine” to what may be a dreary, cloudy day, especially in the Pacific Northwest.
Flowering Branches
Pussy Willow
Dogwood
Cherry
Forsythia
Quince
A Spring wedding is a great time to use flowering branches, it gives arrangement, height, and texture. You can use them in tall cylinder vases for your ceremony or reception, or have them incorporated into your wedding flower centerpieces to give them a more dramatic line.
You can always ask your wedding floral designer for local availability, different floral, blooms at different times depending on where you are! Seasonal flowers are usually more cost effective and better for your wedding savings plan.
I would love to thank the Seattle Wholesale Growers Market in Seattle, WA and 7th Street Market in Fort Worth, TX for helping me compile this list.

As always, no stress, no worries, keep calm and listen on, or in this case read on.
