It’s all in the Details

Weddings are all about the details.

It's the details that make it personal and unique for the couple that is getting married. I believe that it starts with the invitation suite. The invitation sets the theme and mood for your upcoming day and all should look somewhat cohesive.

This lovely suite is bold with black and gold and it also has a geode theme. I also love wax seals, they make me squeal 🙂 if I could I would put wax seals on all correspondence, even bills that I send out.

Flowers and place settings are an important part of the details that you shouldn't skip over. When a guest walks into a room it will be the tables that will draw their eyes. A wonderfully dressed table will be the conversation among the guest seated there. Chargers and flowers will create visual interest and bring your theme together.

The details do not need to break the bank. The two photos above are examples of that, both are based on a white background but one is elegant with gold chargers and runners of eucalyptus and the other is a rustic take with wood branded chargers and a wood and lace runner.

Bouquets and other flowers are also a great way to bring in your theme through details. Below is a paper flower bouquet made out of maps to bring out a travel theme to a wedding. Imagine all the details that you could bring to your special day with a travel theme: globes, airplanes, suitcases, etc. The possibilities are endless.

Cakes are another way to bring out your theme. The color, shape, and taste of your cake could represent some of your favorite things. The cake topper is also a good way to show some personality. There are so many different options now, just not a standard bride and groom.

Farm to table themed weddings are a big thing this year it seems, you can bring that in with your cake as well and top it with fresh flowers and fruit.

Two turtle doves or kissing doves maybe? This topper is fun and simple with a lovely butter creamed iced cake.

The details don't need to be only in the reception they can welcome you, inform you or tell someone that they are thinking of you.
